Gingerbread Make and Bake - Fort York National Historic Site

In this hands-on workshop, kids ages 4 and up will use period cooking utensils and tools to sift flour, crush cinnamon, cloves or allspice, pound sugar and grate nutmeg and ginger as they prepare an 1800's gingerbread recipe in the Fort’s historic kitchen December 28, 2019- January 1, 2020.

Samples can be taken home - if they last that long! Sign up for a morning or an afternoon workshop in the Museum Store when you arrive. This event is part of Toronto History Museums' Holiday programming. Fort York, a 43-acre national historic site located in the heart of downtown Toronto, is a registered archaeological site, and home to Canada’s largest collection of original War of 1812 buildings.
