Our in person Summer Day Camp program is a full day program for children ages 6 - 12. Space will be limited and kids will be placed into small cohorts for the week. The program will be 100% outdoors (at a distance) and will include our usual nature lessons, hikes, activities and crafts. All participants must follow public health guidelines including daily health screenings, masking (when distancing isn’t possible or when indoors using the washroom), respiratory etiquette, and frequent hand washing/sanitizing.
In Person Program Dates and Themes:
Week 1 - July 4 - 8 Reptiles and Amphibians
Week 2 - July 11 - 15 Aquatic Species
Week 3 - July 18 - 22 Terrestrial Insects
Week 4 - July 25 - 29 Diversity Week 1 (topics include birds, insects, fish, amphibians and outdoor survival)
Week 5 - August 2 - 5 Be a Park Ranger
Week 6 - August 8 - 12 Eco Heroes (Entomologist, Botanist, Ornithologist, Conservationist and Herpetologist)
Week 7 - August 15 - 19 Diversity Week 2 (topics include reptiles, plants, mammals, species at risk and geocaching)
Week 8 - August 22 - 26 Diversity Week 1 repeat (topics include birds, insects, fish, amphibians and outdoor survival)
Ages: 6 - 12 years old
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Registration fees: $350/child/week
Extended Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., additional cost of $10/child/day
