Shake The North on Canada Day
*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 07/01/2020
WHERE CAN I PARTICIPATE FROM?
You can join Shake The North anywhere outdoors in the Humber Bay Shores area in Etobicoke. Whether from your balcony, Humber Bay Park, on the trails, in your car or on a boat, music will play in sync from all devices in all directions.
There's no such thing as a bad seat for this unique free concert!
Note: Social distancing rules and guidelines must be followed throughout the Shake The North event. Participants are encouraged to join from their condo balconies if possible.
HOW DO I JOIN?
1. On Canada Day, head outdoors in Humber Bay Shores and open www.shakethenorth.ca on your phone or tablet before 8:30pm.
2. At 8:30pm-9:30pm, while in the Shake the North group in the free Rave app (proudly made in Waterloo), turn up your device and any connected speakers to maximum volume.

HOW IT WORKS
Your audio will precisely sync with more than 1,000 other speakers for an incredible community concert across Humber Bay Shores. An aux cable should be used to ensure a precise audio sync as there may be noticeable delays with speakers connected via bluetooth.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED?
Music played during the first half of Shake The North will include Canada’s national anthem followed by a selection of great Canadian artists and fun popular songs.
The event’s second half music will be determined live by participants, song-by-song, using Rave’s in app voting feature.
The grand finale will include an extraordinary light show where all device screens change colours and pulse to the music at the same time.
Shake The North is a community organized Bring Your Own Decibels (BYOD) event and there is no cost to join. Every decibel counts. Let’s get loud, eh?
