Toronto Railway Museum Roundhouse Park Tour - Mechanical Marvels

Explore Toronto's Railway Past! “Mechanical Marvels” will explore how railway technology was developed and how trains in Toronto changed the physical landscape of the city. Mechanical Marvels will transport visitors to the largest ever passenger car yard in Canada, and paint a picture of Toronto’s industrial boom.

Mechanical Marvels is an approximately 30-minute, outdoor guided walking tour that takes visitors around Roundhouse Park and into our historical buildings, locomotives, and passenger cars. Admission into the museum space in Stall 17 of the Roundhouse is included in this ticket.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

  • Stand on the site of Canada’s largest passenger car yard
  • Experience the daily tasks of a railway switch operator
  • Time travel to the past by climbing aboard our restored train cars and heritage railway buildings
