Humber Arboretum day camps are based out of the Centre for Urban Ecology, but campers will spend most of their time outdoors where they will make their own discoveries in the woodlands, river, meadows, wetlands, gardens, and ponds of the Humber Arboretum. Our camps are accredited by the Ontario Camps Association, meeting the OCA's high standards for professionalism, accessibility, and safety.
Every week of camp includes:
- Forest exploration
- Pond dipping
- Ecology games
- Indoor swimming and pizza on Fridays
Plus other activities inspired by the weekly theme.
The Art of Nature
Monday July 7 to Friday July 11, 2025
Connecting with nature through storytelling and art are always part of camp, but this week these creative explorations will be in the spotlight. Campers of different ages will be making art with natural dyes, sculpting with river clay, trying out woodcarving, and much more. Plus we'll be practicing our storytelling skills to share our great nature experiences of the past and our new discoveries from the week with each other.
