BEE the Change (Age 8+)

Bee the Change Camp is a Arts and Crafts based camp that explores the beauty of nature, and endeavours to conserve that beauty. We'll be going on hikes to the local revine, making crafts using native plants, and learning about what makes a sustainable ecosystem. As a group, we'll also be creating a pollinator wall with native flowering plants and herbs out of recycled materials. This pollinator wall will be hung in the community to benifit native insects and humans alike.

What to Expect:

Camp happens at Mischief Makers at 247 Coxwell Ave. At lunch we go to the park, weather permitting. If we’re indoors for lunch, we’ll watch a movie.
We like to start the day with some creative drawing games to get our brains working. Through the day we run a variety of Art, Craft, and STEM based activities with Free Time during the last hour of the day. We’ve got board games and STEM toys like Lego and K’Nex, as well as other easy maker activities available during Free Time.

Tools and Materials We May Use:

• X-acto knives

• Paint

• Recycled plastics, papers, and wood

We always do introductions and safety lessons on all our tools and materials, regardless of experience. Unsafe use of tools will result in the loss of tool privileges.
