Learn everything you ever wanted to know about alpacas such as the sounds they make and why. You will learn about their fabulous fibre and feel the luxury first hand. You will also have a chance to meet our group of Indian Runner Ducks and hand feed our two horses. After you have spent approximately an 1 - 1 1/2 hours with our beautiful animals we will go into the workshop and feel their fibre and learn how it is processed into yarn. Children always love taking turns at carding their wonderful fibre. There is no time limit on the tour as it is private and we only do one per day. You will leave Brae Ridge feeling renewed and full of positivity. It always amazes me how they can turn a stressful time into total relaxation - it’s magical! Cost is per group of 1-5 people.
As we follow safety protocols, at this time of uncertainty, there is a maximum of 5 people per visit and only within your bubble so all visits are private. All surfaces are continuously sanitized and meeting the alpacas takes place outdoors.
If cancellation occurs before 7 days of your visit, refunds will be given (minus 10% to cover our charges). If you have cancelled your farm visit within 1-7 days of your visit a 50% refund will be honoured. We do not offer refunds for “no-shows”, cancellations, or rescheduled visits within 24 hours of your scheduled visit.
If you, or someone you are close to, has been exposed to or has tested positive for COVID 19, please contact us to reschedule or cancel your session.
Please note that dogs and other pets are not permitted during the farm visits due to safety and biosecurity risks.
