Clay Activity: Sculpt a Cup
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 11/05/2017
The Gardiner Museum’s special exhibition, Steven Heinemann: Culture and Nature, is now open! Inspired by the artist’s spectacular body of work, we’ll be holding a related Family Sundays series throughout the exhibition. Come and explore the influence of nature, form, volume, and time on his work, and get the chance to create your own works of art in our studios.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Vessels and containment are central to the work of Steven Heinemann. Discover the unique forms featured in our retrospective exhibit, and join us in the studio for a vessel-building workshop. Learn how to make your own cup using the slab technique taught by our instructor.
Admission is free for visitors 18 and under every day!*
*Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and each accompanying adult must purchase a general admission ticket. Children cannot be left unattended at any time.
