Forensic Fun Camp
Be a DNA Detective!
Ages 8-10 & 11-13
If your kid loves solving mysteries, asking “why,” and thinking like a detective, Forensic Fun Camp is the perfect summer adventure! This immersive, week-long camp is designed for students ages 8–10 or 11-13 and blends science, problem-solving, and hands-on activities with exciting recreation.
Campers take on the role of forensic investigators, working together to solve a crime. They’ll dive deep into the fascinating world of forensics through hands-on experiences such as:
- Blood Typing Experiments – Learn how blood type clues can solve cases.
- Hair & Fiber Analysis – Use microscopes to match evidence to suspects.
- Fingerprint Analysis – Dust, lift, and compare fingerprint patterns.
- Foot Impression Analysis – Compare tracks and match them to suspects.
Plus, camp should be just as fun as it is educational, Forensic Fun Camp is packed with extras:
- Immersive Forensic VR Experiences – Step into a virtual crime scene and investigate.
- Arcade Time – Relax and have fun with new friends.
- Creative Arts ‘n’ Crafts Projects – Get creative with forensic-inspired art projects.
- Outdoor Activities & Sports Challenges – Get moving with team-based games.
- A Special Field Trip.
The week wraps up with the Final Case Challenge, where campers put everything they’ve learned into action to solve the case and celebrate their success.
Forensic Fun Camp offers a one-of-a-kind experience that keeps kids engaged, thinking critically, and having a blast — all while building teamwork, problem-solving, and science skills.
We provide two separate and distinct age-appropriate sessions to help us: focus the best level of instruction, keep the campers as comfortable as possible, determine the necessary number of staff & counselors and provide us reasonable expectations of the type of crimes we include & the amount of time spent working on projects. The 8-10 year-old session will work on a "cuddly" crime with less science and projects. The 11-13 year-old session will include a more serious crime and additional forensic evidence, like:
- Map a Crime Scene – Document and sketch evidence like professional investigators.
- Explore DNA Profiling – Simulate how scientists use DNA to identify suspects.
- Compare Shoe & Tire Impressions – Match prints to the right suspect or vehicle.
- Investigate Firearms Identification – Learn how bullet markings lead to answers.
We know some people will think that this is the coolest camp they've ever heard of. We agree. Some might find this camp idea over the top. Maybe a little. Either way, just remember playing 'Clue' when you were a kid (or with your kids) and describing bludgeoning, stabbing or shooting someone. This is really the same thing - only with real science and learning built into the fun.
