Our free spaces just got bigger.
June 9 - September 25, 2022
In celebration of Kore 670, a stunning sculpture on loan from Greece, we have launched a new initiative that gives everyone free access to the main floor of the Museum for the duration of the summer*. This experience includes a new pop-up coffee bar, plus free live performances and programming.
Enjoy nearly 80,000 square feet of gallery and public space including our suite of Asian galleries, two pandemic-themed exhibitions (#MyPandemicStory and Unmasking the Pandemic: From Personal Protection to Personal Expression), and the Daphne Cockwell Gallery dedicated to First Peoples art & culture, which is accessible year-round.

Pop-Up Activity Stations

- Discovery Zone: Explore a wide range of interactive discovery boxes that include puzzles, books, fossils, costumes and so much more
- Discovery Cart and Tables: Get up close to specimens and objects as you use your senses to investigate and play
- Staff Choice: Look out for staff who will be circulating the main floor with their favourite artifacts
