Gayageum Music Concert - Lillian H. Smith Library
Celebrate Lunar New Year with us!
Roa Lee presents a Gayageum Solo Performance and a talk about the traditional Korean instrument. The Gayageum is a stringed wooden zither, traditionally with 12 strings then developed as a 25-string instrument.
Enjoy a selection of classic, jazz, waltz and pop performed with the
25-stringed Gayageum, as well as traditional Korean music played on the 12-stringed version to add an authentic touch.
There will be a Q&A session following the performance to delve deeper into the realm of Korean music.
