The end of the summer season and cooler temperatures in Canada create a colourful transformation of our nation. Billions of trees will soon see their leaves change from green to their vibrant fall foliage. To honour this magical metamorphosis, children will be creating their very own fall colours luminary. Traditionally, luminaries were fires used among many cultures throughout the world to help communicate, guide, and celebrate at night. More recently, luminaries are more often small artistic paper lanterns, made from colourful paper. Decorating a mason jar with colourful paper, children will be able to make their own colourful creation to honour the upcoming seasonal change.
