*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 04/20/2024
In this 2-hour workshop, youth 8-19 will explore the Textile Museum’s education collection of global textiles to create a collaborative sound piece using computerized audio interfaces. Through doing so, participants will activate the collection through sensory means of touch and sound. Participants will be guided through sound meditation, learn about the cultural significance of some of the collection items, begin to identify textile techniques and get to experiment collaboratively.
