Join us over Canada Day weekend (June 29 to July 1) from 11am - 3pm at the Americas pavilion to learn about all of our “Breed and Release” conservation programs and meet some of the endangered Canadian Species we are trying to save from extinction.
The weekend will be filled with “meet and greets” with zookeepers, animal visitors and some of our program partners including Biologists from Wildlife Preservation Canada’s Shrike Recovery Program.
The Toronto zoo strives to protect species from extinction. We are able to accomplish this by breeding future generations of endangered animals here at the zoo, and then releasing them into their wild habitats; in Canada and all over the world!
The Toronto Zoo’s Endangered Species Fund supports these unique conservation programs and all the money raised from raffle prizes and wildlife merchandise will contribute to saving Canadian species returned to the wild!
