BAND PROGRAM
Ages 9-14

In the Band Program, campers will select a band instrument (woodwind, brass or percussion) to learn and play as an ensemble. Campers will be divided between a beginner or intermediate section depending on their skill level and learn to read music, practice technique for their instrument, and perform together at the end of camp concert. Campers are welcome to bring their instruments home to practice each evening.

LITs can earn volunteer hours for their time in the program. There is a $100 fee that covers snacks, supplies, instrument rental, trip fees, and shirts for our LITs.

ELECTIVES
Each camper will select 2 elective activities to be a part of. They will participate in these activities every day for the 2 weeks. These electives include the option of additional music experiences such as musical theatre, ukulele, recorder ensemble, or hand chimes, in which they will work towards another performance piece for our concert. There will also be options for those who need a break from music to engaged in other enjoyable activities such as board games, nature club, or team sports.

ROTATIONS
Campers may choose between the Sports rotation or Arts rotation for the week. In these activities, campers will have the chance to learn different team sports and games, or create art pieces over the week. Campers can switch to the other rotation if they choose on the second week.
