The movement of plastic from terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems to the oceans may seem like an uncontrollable tide; but there is still time to make a difference. Every action taken by each person and organizations like the Toronto Zoo is one less piece of plastic in our oceans. Meet Kyla Greenham, Manager of Conservation & Environment to get an up close look at the Washed Ashore Art Exhibition, learn where all the plastic in the world’s oceans is coming from, how it is affecting plants, animals and the aquatic ecosystems, understand the Toronto Zoo’s commitment to reducing plastic use and what easy steps you can do to break the wave. Meet Kyla at one or all of the sculpture presentations take a step towards reducing the tides of plastic in our environment.
