At the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (Barrett CTI), students hone the skills they will need for the jobs of tomorrow, and businesses revolutionize their operations by experimenting with cutting-edge technologies. With advanced technology changing the way we work and live every day, the Barrett CTI brings together entrepreneurs, SMEs, established companies, students and faculty members to collaborate, grow and prosper by developing human-centred, technology-enabled solutions for business and communities.
The Barrett STEAM Academy — an immersive, hands-on experience for elementary and secondary students — launches this Fall at the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation at Humber Polytechnic. To inspire students in STEAM, the Academy will leverage real-world problem-solving, encourage curiosity and creativity and provide diverse experiences while integrating science, technology, engineering, arts & math to empower future innovators.
Funded by the Barrett Family Foundation, the Barrett STEAM Academy invites students to embark on 12 Saturdays of fun, experiential learning in state-of-the-art labs. From coding and robotics to 3D design and webpage development, future innovators will unleash their talent!
